It's been one of the most buzzed about and highest rated TV shows of the new 2007 season. Featuring bright coloring, and unique sets and scenery, Pushing Daisies is a romantic comedy about a unassuming pie maker who has the ability to bring dead things back to life. Lee Pace and Anna Friel star as kid sweethearts who are reunited in adulthood, but with a twist that prohibits them from touching each other. A spin-off of the popular TV show "Miami Ink", "LA Ink" premieres tonight (August 7, 2007) on The Learning Channel, starring Kat von D.
Artist Shawn Barber created a portrait of the prominent tattoo artist, that she purchased for her private collection. Barber was also featured on an episode of Miami Ink in a segment where they focused on the process involved in making the piece as well as its exhibition in the Art Basel Miami Beach 2006 show "We’ll Make A Lover Of You" curated by Francesco LoCastro and Juxtapoz.

Disney is bringing back its wildly successful show, "High School Musical 2" which will premiere on the Disney Channel on Friday, August 17, 2007.
This brand new outing reunites the main characters from the first "High School Musical", Zac Efron (as Troy Bolton), Vanessa Hudgens (as Gabriella Montez), Ashley Tisdale (as Sharpay Evans), Lucas Grabeel (as Ryan Evans), Corbin Bleu (as Chad Danforth), and Monique Coleman (as Taylor McKessie).
We've heard that the plot is something like this: "The musical will take place on Sharpay and Ryan's grandparents' country club, where they are pampered while Troy and Gabriella, now together, have to earn some summer cash as a lifeguard and waitress. To make the summer a little more fun, Troy, Gabriella, and their friends Taylor, Chad, Kelsi, and Zeke organize a talent show against a competing country club."
Led by Emmy Award winner Steve Carell and a strong emsemble cast, NBC's The Office continues to grow on its buzz and popularity. The 2007 season finale airs on May 18th with a special hour long episode. Do Pam and Jim finally get together? Does Michael get back together with his boss/girlfriend? And what exactly does Creed do all day at the Dundler Miffler office? The Office has already been renewed for the 2008 season so fans can rest easy after the season finale - the office hijinks will return next year.
"Hannah Montana (played by Miley Cyrus) is about a teenage girl living in Malibu who leads a secret life as a pop star. She hides her real identity from all her friends except her two best friends Lilly (Emily Osment) and Oliver (Mitchel Musso). The show is mainly based on her experiences as both a pop star and a normal teenager with her friends." ..and it also has that dancing fool, Billy Ray Cyrus in it, who plays her her manager, Robbie Stewart.
Hannah Montana is another show from the Disney Channel. And for some trivia, Fred Savage (you might remember him from "The Wonder Years" 1988-1993) directed an episode. And to tie this week's theme together, he has also directed episodes of "Phil of the Future", "That's So Raven", and "Zoey 101".
Since we're featuring family television posters this week, next up on the hit list is Phil of the Future. Another Disney Channel Original Comedy, the kid outlines the premise as: "Phil of the Future is based on a teenage boy named Phil (Ricky Ullman) whose family is from the 22nd century. Their RV is a time travel ship, which breaks while they were visiting the 2000's. The stranded family has to hide the truth of where they are from. Phil and his sister Pim (Amy Bruckner) enroll in school where Phil becomes best friends with a girl named Keely Teslow (Alyson Michalka). He reveals to her the truth about where he is from. The show is based on their experiences and Phil's incredible, futuristic gadgets."
So there.
From Nickelodeon comes Zoey 101, another popular teen sitcom starring Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of Britney Spears.
We'll let the staff teenager explain this one as well: "Zoey 101 is about a girl who moves to PCA (Pacific Coast Academy), a former all boys academy, to live and go to school. The show focuses on Zoey and her two roommates, Nicole (Alexa Nikolas) and Lola (Victoria Justice), and the events that they share with their group of friends which include Chase (Sean Flynn), Logan (Matthew Underwood), Michael (Christopher Massey), and Quinn (Erin Sanders)."
Zoey 101 was nominated for an Emmy in 2005 as Outstanding Children's Program and won a Young Artists Award in 2007 for Best Young Ensemble Performance in a TV Series (Comedy or Drama).
That's So Raven is a popular show from the Disney Channel, that has enjoyed a successful run since 2002. We'll let our resident teenager explain the premise of the show:
"That's So Raven is about a teenage girl named Raven Baxter who has visions of things that are about to happen. If it happens to be a bad vision, Raven and her two best friends Chelsea and Eddie, immediately try to change the path of her vision - and things almost always turn out wrong. This leaves Raven, Chelsea and Eddie cleaning up the mess of what they have done. And if her vision happens to be a good one, Raven always finds a way to mess it up."

Last Call for HBO's The Sopranos (2007)
It's almost the end for TV's Tony Soprano and his mob crew as HBO's The Sopranos has started its run of the final 9 episodes. The Sopranos is one of the most acclaimed TV series in many years as its unique mix of violence, crime and family life has thrilled TV viewers for many years as it told the story of ficticious New Jersey mafia boss Tony Soprano. The buzz and media hype will continue build over the coming weeks as the HBO series makes its run towards the series finale. James Gandolfini, Edie Falco and Lorraine Bracco star.
"American Idol" kicks off its sixth season tonight on FOX (8pm - 10pm EST), and Paula Abdul says that auditions for the current season were "beyond wacky". Adbul reunites with her co-judges Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell with whom she shares a love-hate relationship.
One of the series executive producers, Ken Warwick agrees with Abdul, and says that if you don't watch any other episode, be sure not to miss the one that was taped in Seattle, Washington, which will air tomorrow night (Wednesday). He said that Seattle was the funniest place he had ever been to, and was "shocked, appalled, amazed and hysterical over it".
There are also rumours of Paul McCartney being one of the celebrity judges during a "Beatles" themed week.
