New Movie Poster Released for "Solomon Kane" Starring James Purefoy

Actor James Purefoy best known for his role as Marc Anthony in the HBO TV series Rome plays Solomon Kane, a 17th century puritan whom roams the world in an effort to snuff out all evil. The fictional character was created by Robert E. Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian) an American author who wrote pulp fiction most famously for "Weird Tales". Howard, who died at 30 years old in 1936, has left quite a legacy. The film which also stars Max Von Sydow was shown at the Cannes Film Festival in May and is to be released in Europe on October 28th. We are not yet aware of the release date for the US.

New Movie Poster Released for "Jonah Hex" Starring Josh Brolin and Megan Fox

The plot has Jonah Hex (Josh Brolin) playing a bounty hunter in the late 1800's trying stop bad guy Quentin Turnbull (John Malkovich) from raising an army of undead to avenge the Confederate loss of the civil war. The script is based on a DC Comics series created by John Albano and Tony Dezuniga. Josh Brolin has been known to be quite picky about the roles he plays. Apparently when he first read the script he hated it but came around once he appreciated the tongue-in-cheek nature of the script...Uh Oh. Film is set for release on June 18th, 2010.

New Movie Poster for Yet Another “Nightmare on Elmstreet” Movie

Yes that's right. Just when you thought it possible that Freddie was gone for good…He is being revived in a "re-imagining" of the original with Jackie Earl Haley playing Freddie instead of Robert Englund. If this flick isn’t a perfect example of Hollywood’s ceaseless re-rendering of overexposed ancient franchises for the sake of cash, we don’t know what is. This be the 10th movie (including a television series) in the franchise and ironically the third since "Freddy’s Dead – The Final Nightmare". Is there no shame? Freddie fans rejoice, it is the 25th Anniversary of the release of the first film!

Best Looking Movie Poster Released in July is for French Biopic “Serge Gainsbourg – Vie Heroique”

Great looking poster just released for "Serge Gainsbourg". The design has a black background with Gainsbourg exhaling smoke that goes from white/grey to red. Very cool. The film is about the enigmatic and very talented French singer-songwriter, actor and director Serge Gainsbourg (Eric Elmosnino). Gainsbourg was an accomplished singer and wrote many soundtracks for films. He also directed several films including, "Charlotte for Ever" and "Je Taime Moi Non Plus". Considered a favorite son of the French artistic intelligentsia, he caused some spectacular public scenes. Apparently, later in life when he was a judge at a French Film Festival, he got quite drunk and stood up to tell a raucous and filthy story about Brdigitte Bardot and a champagne bottle. When finished, he staggered off the stage, found a seat and then promptly passed out. The movie shouldn’t be boring, it is set for release in January 2010.

Fun and Colorful New Movie Poster for Doc "Earth Days"

Veteran documentary film maker Robert Stone's take on the green movement in the 50's and 60's. It culminates with the first Earth Day in 1970. Well intentioned activism meets missed opportunities in what should be a movie well-worth seeing. We like the little green sprout on top of the button filled earth and the use of the leaf in the letter "A" in the title. Release date is August 14th, 2009.

New Movie Poster Released for Cameron Diaz Vehicle “The Box”

There may be hope for this film. The film is written and directed by Richard Kelly who also wrote and directed cult horror classic "Donnie Darko". The film follows a couple who receives a mysterious box at home and they become instantly rich. Unbeknownst to them someone they don’t know dies after they get rich. So what unfolds is does anyone make the choice to get rich at the expense of someone else’s life? Movie poster has a sneering Frank Langella as the man who delivers the box. Movie is set for release on October 30th, 2009.

New Full Motion Movie Poster Released for "Saw VI"- Yahoo Movies Exclusive

Kudos to Yahoo Movies for scoring the exclusive new look at the full motion online poster for "Saw VI". Following the concept first introduced this year for "Terminator: Salvation", the creative folks did some fine work. Click Here to see the movie poster whose image unfolds with cool audio in the background. He would like to "Play a Game with You" as "His Disease Spreads". Cool stuff.

New Movie Poster for Director Rublen Fleischer’s Debut film "Zombieand"

Fantasy comedy film follows the antics group of humans as they try to avoid succumbing to a world overrun by zombies. Characters with names like "Tallahassee" (Woody Harrelson), "Little Rock" (Abigail Breslin) and "Wichita" (Emma Stone) do their best to get along and find peace and happiness in "Zombieland". Like the tag line, "This place is so dead". Hope Bill Murray can salvage what sounds like a weak plot line. Movie is set for launch on October 9th, 2009.

Latest Megan Fox Movie Poster for "Jennifer's Body"

Current "It" girl Megan Fox is posed provocatively on the movie poster for the upcoming movie "Jennifer’s Body". The movie penned by Diablo Cody (Juno) is about a sexy girl who knocks off many of her male schoolmates. Were the film not written by Diablo Cody, by description it looks like a lame affair. Cody is a very capable and funny script writer so...who knows? This could be worth seeing.

New Movie Poster for Slasher Flick "Sorority Row"

We were confused looking at this new movie poster. At first glance we thought it was a promotional poster for a sixth season of "The L Word". Appears to be nothing new here plot-wise. At least the inevitable victims look great. Film is set for release on September 11th, 2009.
