After four weekends of ticket sales that were above last years totals, the over all box office sales slipped around 11% compared to the previous time frame last year. Will Ferrell rode his dim-bulb character to a strong opening in "Blades of Glory" which came out on top with $33 million, which was the second-highest opening for Ferrell behind Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. Disney's new animated comedy, "Meet the Robinsons" met expectations and puleed off second place with $25 million. The studio is hoping to cash in on the Easter holidays, as more kids are out of school. "300" continued to add to its totals, staying in the top three with just over $11 million.
Last weekend's new releases, aside from "Shooter", dropped dramatically in their second weekend. TMNT sunk 62 percent to an estimated $9.2 million, and it's looking like it will be the least-attended of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies.
