Movie posters are not simply limited to American releases. Some of the most evocative poster images are not produced in the US, but overseas. Among some of the most compelling movie posters are those from Russia, heralding from an incredible creative history.

Miami Vice (2006)

Clerks II (2006)
It's Mooby's again! Dante and Randall are off to Mooby's. Fans of Dogma will know all about Mooby's, a Disney-McDonalds-esque fast food chain. Clerks II will be in theatres July 21st. View the trailer.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest continued to make movie history in it's second weekend, with a haul that most film studio executives probably wouldn't mind having for an opening. With over $62 million for the weekend (the 3rd highest grossing second weekend, behind Shrek 2 and Spider-Man), Pirates 2 claimed the ten-day opening record from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, with a total of $258.2 million dollars.
Meanwhile, "Little Man" and "You, Me and Dupree" had solid debuts as new releases, and managed to claim the second and third spots, both with over $21 million. With a couple of last week's top ten dropping off the list, the only other new face on the list was the animated flick, "A Scanner Darkly" starring Keannu Reeves, which actually was in it's second week.

1) Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - $62.2 M
2) Little Man - $21.7 M
3) You, Me and Dupree - $21.3 M
4) Superman Returns - $11.6 M

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest pillaged the weekend box office this past weekend, breaking all-time box office records as it sailed past the previous record holder, 2002's "Spider-Man". Pirates 2 pulled in over $135 million in it's opening weekend, and also set records for the biggest single day ($55.5 million), and the first movie to rake in over $100 million in just two days. The opening surprised the industry analysts, and even the movie's producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, who had expected an opening of around $77 million. We could be waiting awhile before we see another movie with this much pull.
