Orphan Movie Poster : Symmetrically Creepy

Orphan Movie Poster

They say that people with perfectly symmetrically aligned faces are prettier, but Esther is a prime example of how wrong that idea is. Maybe it’s just the huge black irises or the bushy eyebrows and not the mirror image, but whatever it is, Esther creeps me the hell out.

Imagine That: Eddie Murphy Without a Fat Suit

Imagine That

I know it’s a stretch of the imagination, but yes, Eddie Murphy is starring in a kids movie, and with no fat suits (as far as we know). How they got Martin Sheen for the And credit we may never know.

The Mysteries of Pittsburgh: Like the Haunting in Connecticut, but without the scary

The Mysteries of Pittsburgh

While it’s a bit of a mystery why Sienna Miller’s head is so much bigger that everyone else’s on the poster, the only real mystery here is why the poster designer would put the girl in a bikini at the bottom of the poster with no explanation as to why she’s even there. And where’s Nick Nolte?

Angels and Demons

The movie poster for the new film “Angels and Demons” was released this week.  The film is based on the popular novel by Dan Brown. It is the prequel to “The Da Vinci Code” where Tom Hanks will reprise the role of Robert Langdon who gets up to all kinds of fun new intrigue at the Vatican. Let’s hope this movie turns out to be better than its woeful predecessor. If you remember “The Da Vinci Code” premiered at Cannes in 2006. Director Ron Howard and the producers chose not to let the media and critics pre-screen the film. This was a bad sign. Keep an eye on the new movie to see if the same thing happens. The film will be released on May 15th, 2009.
